Family Photography: tangible memories
I love to document families and I know exactly why. Personally, it was lovely to grow up looking at old family photos. If you are older than 20, you know how it was to open boxes of printed photos, feel the texture of the paper while holding it in your hands, passing it around for friends & family.
I had lots of moments like these, seeing the same photos over and over again. Now with my little girl, I've been doing the same. I print most of her photos, we stick it to an album and other times I order printed photo books. She's only 2 years old but she loves seeing these books with photos of her first days, each vacation and portraits of family members with her.
This is why I love photographing families. For being able to create images which they will hold for years to come, while looking back and remembering of such sweet moments.
When I met this family last October near Leuven for a session, they were four. Now they have welcomed a new little boy to this world.
Most of these images were printed on fine art paper and will last for decades. Makes me so happy!
I'm now booking spring family sessions for the month of April. Limited dates available, so get in touch soon :)
