About finding your voice

Sometimes, being in an industry where said leaders try to dictate what is right and wrong can be quite suffocating. We find ourselves unsatisfied with the work we produce simply because it doesn't reflect who we are, how we feel and even more, what we believe to be important to tell. We always hear about finding your voice as a way for distinction, but are we all really after this?

As artists, the learning process is constant. But we have to switch off all the noise around us to be able to listen to our own voice. To do what you love and what moves your soul is not at all to do what everyone else is doing and considers to be pretty.

I created this set of images to challenge myself and this is now a new project for this year. To look only for connection and love. When we have these two ingredients, stunning locations and pretty props are the least necessary.

Happy holidays!!!

Give. Believe. Sparkle. Be joyful. Sing carols. Deck the halls. Be merry & bright. Kiss under the mistletoe. Be with your loved ones. Indulge in holiday treats. Dream of a white Christmas. Miss those who are far away. Create memories for years to come. Hug your loved ones a little tighter. Reflect on the year that is behind us... and be grateful!

Wishing you all an awesome Christmas Eve!!!

Fall in London

Fall is always my favorite season and I believe it's because in Brazil we never see the changes each season brings so clear as we see here in Europe. To see all the leaves falling and the pretty colors is fascinating for me, still, even after 10 years.

As life as a photographer slows down until Spring, I decided to take this time to shoot a lot of personal work I had in mind for quite a while. Time to shut off the noise and search within myself what really brings me joy.  And what better way than documenting my favorite things during Fall & Winter?

For a tiny taste of what's to come... you'll find bellow a few frames from a morning walk I had at the Kensington & Chelsea neighborhood in London during my last visit to the city. Parc des Capucins - Coulommiers|FR

Sharing some images I shot while walking in the Parc Des Capucins, right in the center of Coulommiers. The town of Coulommiers is located a bit more than 60km from Paris and that was our destination for a quiet getaway last summer.

The region is very pretty with its landscapes and small villages. There's a lot to see and at the end of our stay we really felt like staying longer. Definitely worth going back!
